Ret. Tanksley

TANKSLEY, Ret. Major James C., age 80 of Hermitage, TN, May 17, 2012. Retired from U.S. Army after serving 24 ½ years including Korean and Vietnam War. He was awarded the Meritorious Medals twice and Air Medal with Valor. Served for many years with the Williamson County Sheriff's Dept. He was also a former Williamson County Magistrate and Juvenile Court Clerk. Survived by: loving wife of 62 years, Jean Tanksley; sons, Dr. Gary (Faye) Tanksley & David K. Tanksley; daughters, Sandra (Kenneth) Kingston, Donna Lovell & Lisa (Wayne) Farney; sister, Barbour Jean Wright; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Johnny Felker officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to woundedwarriorproject.org or charity of your choice.
