Richard Lee Lyon, Jr.

Richard "Lee" Lyon, Jr passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023 in Nashville, TN. Born in Jackson, TN to Richard and Lynda Faye Lyon April 26, 1947. Lee's passion for music took him to Lambuth College in Jackson, TN where he studied vocal performance before moving to Nashville. Lee was known by most for his highly successful career in the audio and electronics industry. He opened and managed the Radio Shack store in 100 Oaks where it became the highest grossing Radio Shack east of the Mississippi. Lee joined Nicholson's Hi-Fi in 1977 where he served as a salesman, and later as sales manager, vice president, president and owner. Lee was a master at the now lost art of setting up and maintaining turntables. Lee completed his over 50 year career in the industry working with Evans Sales & Marketing a manufacturer's representative firm. 

Lee was a gifted singer and loved music. His other interests included traveling with his wife Ruth, especially cruising, cheering for the Titans and spending time with his beloved Shih Tzu Coco. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; cherished bonus daughter Julia Malatak; beloved sister Lynda "Sharron" Lyon. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 3pm in the Chapel of Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with a visitation from 2-3pm. Memorial donations can be made to Alive Hospice Nashville or Graceworks of Williamson County.
