Mr. Richard Eugene "Gene" Polk, age 69 of the Peytonsville Community passed away May 22, 2016. Member of the Church of Christ. Owner and operator of Gene Polk Automotive for over 40 years. He enjoyed farming and cattle. Preceded in death by parents, Richard Buchannan & Martha Elizabeth Clayton Polk and brother, Harry Polk. Survived by wife of 51 years, Reba Davenport Polk; son, Jamie (Deborah) Polk; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Polk; grandchildren, Sydney & Weston Polk, Mattie & Lila Hart; brother, Danny (Linda) Polk; sister, Jane (Kerry) Hosford; sisters in-law, Anita Polk & Ona Young; brother in-law, Larry (Carolyn) Davenport; very special mother in-law, Mattie "Ma" Davenport. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, A.K. Robinette officiating. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Mausoleum at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Gilbert Mancha, Gary Conn, Jimmy Cole, Junior Johnson, James Sanford, Cody "Ed" Cunningham & Virgil Davenport.
