Randy Robinett completed his earthly journey to be with God on July 7, 2019, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Marshall E. and Ruth Robinett on November 26, 1942. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy Robinett; daughter, Traci (Brian) Calhoun; son, Bert (Chantel) Robinett; grandchildren, Gabe and Genevieve Robinett, all of Brentwood, TN; sisters, Marshall McCorkle and Betty Robinett, of Virginia. Randy graduated from Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tennessee, and received a scholarship to play football for Virginia Tech University. He graduated from East Tennessee State University. Randy was an avid sports fan and loved to take cruises. After 36 years in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry, Randy retired from the Dana Companies. He served on the deacon team and was a member of the Barnabas Sunday School Class at Brentwood Baptist Church. Randy thoroughly enjoyed his Mapco Coffee Club, the Legends Ball Picking Crew, and being a Papaw. There will be a private burial for the family, the F and M deacon teams, and the Barnabas Class at Williamson Memorial. All are invited to honor Randy's life at Brentwood Baptist Chapel, where Gayle Haywood will conduct his service at 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. We will celebrate his life with an ice cream social immediately following. A special thank you to Dr. Natalie Spradlin, the team from Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, and Alive Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital and Brentwood Baptist Church's Hope for the World Fund.
