Robert “Uncle Bob” Dominic Spaletto, passed away peacefully at home in Franklin Tennessee on January 12, 2025 at the age of 81 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
Bob was born in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony Rocco Spaletto (1915-2002) and Genevieve Anna Sarno Spaletto (1913-2009), both of Italian descent. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Anthony Spaletto who passed away from a heart attack in 2008 at the age of 68.
Bob was a motivated entrepreneur from the start selling magazines after high school door to door and eventually getting his own crew and he kept growing from there. His business, Western Readers Service, was located in Danville, CA.
Bob married Debbie Morrida Felt on April 28, 2000 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas with 95 of their closest family and friends attending the celebration. Bob loved to golf and at one time got down to a 6 handicap. He had memberships through the years at Blackhawk CC, Alamo CC, Mission Hills CC, The Hideaway CC, The Madison Club and at Gozzer CC in Idaho. One thing that Bob looked forward to doing every year was organizing his Italian Open Golf Tournaments. Bob loved the camaraderie and the anticipation that everyone felt while planning his event. While Bob loved to gamble on the course, he also loved playing cards with his buddies and would often be the catalyst to getting a fun poker group together.
Bob is survived by his wife, Debbie Felt Spaletto and his children Cyndi (Spaletto) Scobee, Toni (Spaletto) Rooney, Dana L. Felt and James L Felt; his nephews Paul Spaletto and Mark Spaletto; his granddaughters Alexandra and Brooke Rooney, his great nephew Matthew Spaletto and also his loving dog Frankie.
A private celebration of his life will be held with immediate family.
