Robert Douglas "Doug" Spears, age 73 of Franklin, TN passed away April 27, 2019. Retired from CPS as a press operator from 1964 - 2006. Preceded in death by wife, Odessa Dowell Spears; grandchildren, Anthony and Jason Mosley; step son, John Paul Harris. Survived by: daughters, Bridget (Nabor) Rodela, Teresa Lara, Melissa Wix; son, Michael (Susan) Beard; step son, Chris Harris; brother, Mike (Joann) Spears; sisters, Nancy Dale, Mamie Ruth Ashworth, Katherine Phillips and Inez Barnes; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Danny Wise officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Doug Spears Memorial Fund. Visitation will be 4-8PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
