Robert Taylor

Robert J. Taylor, Sr. age 81 died Sunday, November 15, 2015. A resident of Franklin, TN for over 50 years and was much loved by his family and friends. He was the owner and operator of American Battery Company for 67 years. Preceded in death by his parents, G.W. "Cute" Taylor & Basel Taylor; granddaughter, Claire DeMatteo Coots; great-grandson, Riley Coots. Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Camille Foster Taylor; children, Debbie Taylor DeMatteo, Robert Taylor, Jr., Rick Taylor, Jill Taylor Woods and Randy Taylor; grandchildren, Ben Woods, Camille DeMatteo Wieniewitz, Jensen Taylor, Leslie Taylor, Rick Taylor, Jr., Samantha Taylor, Meagan Taylor and Jordan Taylor; great-grandchildren, Kayla Woods, Cammie Woods, Benjamin Woods and Brodie Woods. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be 4-8PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held on the farm that Robert & Camille have lived on for 50 years. Active pallbearers: Lee Johnson, Hal Johnson, Durl Reeves, James Bates, Kenneth Pack, Robert Taylor, Jr. and Randy King. Honorary pallbearers: Bill Dorris, Steve Hailey, Mike Moody, Johnny Spray and Tommy Dorris. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
