Mr. Rollin Stuart DeLap, age 80 of Franklin, TN went to be with Jesus September 4, 2016. Born in Centralia, IL to the late Howard and Austia DeLap. For 35 years, Rollin worked with college students and singles within Southern Baptist Convention agencies, leading many of them to salvation, teaching them how to grow in the Christian faith, how to memorize Scripture and teaching them how to share their faith with others. For over 50 years Rollin memorized thousands of verses of Scripture, including many chapters sharing these when spoke in various collegiate and church settings as well as pacesetting for his family and leading his wife, children and grandchildren to memorize and love God's Word. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Survived by: wife, Beverly DeLap; children, Elizabeth (Chuck) Hamby, Eric DeLap, Valerie Otwell and Kris (Cara) DeLap; grandchildren, Elise (Dane) Daniels, Chase Hamby, Brion DeLap and Ashlyn DeLap; sisters, Tonyia (Jim) Miller and Paula Blocher. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Clearview Baptist Church, Dr. Ed Thiele officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Private family burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
