Roy Barker

Mr. Roy Edwin Barker, age 90 of Franklin, TN passed away March 28, 2016. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Member of Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. He served on the State Legislature from 1961-1965 and was a 1970 Delegate Constitutional Convention. He was also the Past President of Franklin Noon Rotary Club, member of Jaycees, served 17 years on the Franklin Planning Committee and was a 20 year member of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce. Preceded in death by parents, George & Mary Troope Barker; wife, Ruth Horton Barker; brother, John W. Barker. Survived by son, Roy E. "Win" (Debbie) Barker, Jr. of Franklin, TN; daughter, Susan (Danny) Bowman of Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Troy (Heather) Bowman and Sloan (Brandy) Bowman; great-grandchildren, Micah , Parker, Carson, Avery, Kayla and Nathan Bowman. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
