Roy Manuel Harris, age 93 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away May 1, 2017 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home. Combat veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II with the 65th Infantry Division. Retired security guard with United States Rubber Company in Detroit, MI. Preceded in death by sons, Larry A. Harris, Douglas Roy Harris and James Donald Harris. Survived by: sons, Ricky Harris of Lavergne, TN, Gary Harris of Smyrna, TN and Eddie Harris of St. Clair Shores, MI; daughter, Linda Harris O'Connor of St. Clair Shores, MI; brothers, Ewing Harris of Clinton Township, MI and Wayne Harris of Destin, FL; sisters, Audrey Lawrence of Mt. Juliet, TN and Lois Brown of Dickson, TN; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
