Ruth Ann Beaty Cunningham

Ruth Ann Beaty Cunningham went to Heaven to be with her family September 9, 2023.  

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Brient, husband, Bill Cunningham, parents, Alice and James Beaty, and her four sisters and two brothers.

Ruth was born on October 12, 1932 in Grimsley, TN.   She spent her summers working in the family’s general store.  This store, James Beaty General Merchandise Store, was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.  She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and enjoyed a long career as an office manager for a physician group in Murfreesboro, TN. 

She is survived by her daughter, Allison (Mark) Cannon, son-in-law, John Brient, grandchildren, Alex (Hannah) Cannon, Chelsea (Max) Hill, Katie Brient (Bo Klaren), Lucy Brient, and 3 beautiful great-grandchildren.
