Sam Pratt, Sr.

Sam Leon Pratt, Sr. age 88 of Franklin, TN passed away December 18, 2016. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sam was a local farmer, home builder and land developer. Longtime member and elder of the Peytonsville Church of Christ. Member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, John E. & Louise Meek Pratt; brothers, Johnny Pratt & Thomas Pratt; sister, Frances Henry. Survived by wife of 67 years, Lois Adams Pratt; son, Sam, Jr. (Carolyn) Pratt; daughter, Gayle (Terry) Cost; grandchildren, Trey (Ashley) Pratt, Daniel Cost, Micah (Kyle) Cost, Benjamin (Teresa) Cost & Frances (Charlie) Blackard; great-grandchildren, Ellie & Slade Pratt, Benson & Stone Cost and Embree Blackard; brothers, Douglas (Hazelene) Pratt & Paul, Sr. (Betty) Pratt; sisters, Katie (Leon) Reed & Joyce Liggett. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Dan Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Trey Pratt, Daniel Cost, Micah Cost, Benjamin Cost, Charlie Blackard, Paul Pratt, Jr., Johnny Pratt, Alan Pratt, Alvin Pratt & Eddie Pratt. Honorary pallbearers will be all remaining nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willow Brook Hospice or Southern Hills Church of Christ.
