Sandra Crow

January 11, 1948 — July 29, 2013

CROW, Sandra "Sandy" Lee, passed away in her Franklin, TN home on July 29, 2013, at 1:40 p.m. Sandy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Owen Chapel Church of Christ. Born Sandra Lee Moss, on January 11, 1948 in Kansas City, MO, Sandy attended Ohio University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. During college she began dating the love of her life, Keith Lloyd Crow, an Ohio State student, and the two were married November 22, 1969. Sandy passionately pursued teaching until their first child was born. Then she passionately pursued motherhood as she raised three children. Sandy returned to education in 1984, retiring from the Williamson County School System in 2008. She was beloved by her students and peers for her zest for life and innovative, fun style of teaching. Upon retirement, Sandy dedicated herself full-time to adventure, cruising the world with her devoted husband of 44 years, and pouring herself into the lives of her eight grandchildren whom she deliberately and wholeheartedly loved. Sandy loved the simple things in life. She loved a good steak and a Diet Coke. She loved a new purse, a great bargain, and a front row parking spot. She loved her family and friends. She loved the Lord. Her wisdom, perspective, beauty, sweet cackling laughter and unwavering loyalty will be sorely missed. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Moss, and her siblings Charles and John Moss and Susan Hunter. Survivors include her Husband Keith L. Crow; Children and Spouses Molly and Eric Rice of Maryville, TN; Kyle and Carol Crow of Franklin, TN; Kory and Emilie Crow of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren Jake, Emma and Charlie Rice; Korie Anne, Walker, Kylie and Lillie Crow; Cassidy Crow; Sister Linda (Dennis) Steen of Lancaster, OH. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Friday, August 2, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN with Minister Perry Cotham officiating.
