Sarah Pewitt

Mrs. Sarah Evelyn "Grandmama" Pewitt, age 86 of Franklin, TN passed away November 28, 2015 at her home. She was born and raised in Williamson County to the late Earnest Garrett Sr. and Nellie Jane Sullivan Garrett. A former member of Hillsboro Baptist Church where she was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many who enjoyed having family gatherings at her home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Pewitt Sr.; siblings, Earnest Garrett Jr., Betty Beard and Ruby Adcock. She is survived by her children, Martha Curtis, Billy Pewitt, Peggy Benson, Debbie (Bill) Archer and Dirk (Jamie) Pewitt; sister, Earnestine (Roy) Watkins; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Services will be conducted 1:00PM Monday, November 30, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Jerry Wolverton officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-6PM Sunday and two hours prior to the service. Burial in Taylor Cemetery. Grandchildren to serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Richard Anderson, Dr. Thomas Jantz, Dr. Devin Sherman and Dr. Starling Evins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Pewitt Memorial Fund or Willowbrook Hospice.
