Schontel Marie Jones Smithson 56 years old passed away June 20th, 2020.
Schontel was born in Saline, KS. to Larry and Lela Mea Jones on September 9th, 1963. She attended Muranaka school in Wyandotte Kansas, where she played on the basketball team. Schontel worked a number of jobs but her favorite was Waffle House in Gardner, Kansas. She always said you never knew what kind of person would walk through the door. Schontel loved sports and being outdoors. Some of her favorite memories she talked about was when she was camping or at the lake on a friend's boat.
Schontel is preceded in death by her father Larry Jones, her mother Lela Mea Jones, and her sister Kristien Jones Langdon.
Schontel is survived by her fiancee Micheal Smithson, her son Jeffery Adam Stanbarger, and her daughter Cassandra Maria Holzer. Survived by her sisters Pam S McKnight Jones and Michelle E Jones. Schontel also had 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow the service at 12 Noon Sunday at Hilltop Cemetery in Lyles, TN. Visitation will be held 4-8:00 pm on Saturday June 27th at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
