Schumann Arden Brewer, age 100 of Franklin, TN went to be with the Lord February 9, 2018. Born in Davidson County, TN to the late Charles R. and Robbie Ward Brewer. After his time in the Army, he returned to Nashville and married Marie Farnsworth and opened Brewer Motors in Franklin selling tractors and Buick automobiles. Eventually he yielded to the call of his heart to preach the gospel and moved his family to Wurzburg, Germany where he established a Church of Christ congregation serving members in the Army stationed there. Upon his return the U.S. he moved his family to Greenville, TN to pastor a congregation there. After several years, he accepted the pastoral ship of the Central Church of Christ in Sparta, TN until he retired. He enjoyed working with horses, playing golf with family and fellowshipping with friends. His kind and gentle spirit together with his jolly disposition drew you to him over the 100 years of his life. His impact on his family and all who knew him will remain until we meet again in glory. Preceded in death by wife, Marie Farnsworth Brewer and granddaughter, Ann Marie Brewer. Survived by: sons, John A. (Caroline) Brewer, William W. "Will" (Sarah) Brewer and Thomas C. "Bogie" (Beverly) Brewer; daughters, Suzanne B. (Dennis) Goldasich and Amy B. Sparks; sister, Neika Stephens; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Friday, February 16, 2018 at Hillsboro Church of Christ. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until Noon prior to the service at the church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World Christian Broadcasting, in memory of Schumann A. Brewer.
