THOMSON, U.S. Army Specialist Kieran James, age 22, died Saturday, August 28 in Fayetteville, NC. SPC Thomson was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, where he was assigned as a Health Care Specialist to the 601st Area Support Medical Company and the XVIII Airborne Corps. SPF Thomson also served as an Ambulance Aide in the Company's Evacuation Platoon. His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. He was posthumously awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal and the Army Achievement Medal. SPC Thomson was born in London, England, and later moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Lausanne Collegiate School, St. George's Independent School and Franklin Academy, East Hadddam, CT. SPC Thomson is survived by his wife Amy, his daughter Aoife, his parents, Tim and Peggy Thomson, his brother, Matt Thomson, his half-brothers, Roderic and Antoine Pratt and his half-sister, Odile Pratt. The funeral service will take place at noon on Wednesday, September 8 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Franklin, TN, with visitation at 11 a.m. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
