Tennie Burge Johnson, age 91 of Franklin, TN passed away August 21, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Jesse W. Johnson. Survived by: nieces, Melba Lindsey, Janice Cumming, Betty Newton and Gloria Tucker; nephew, Albert Johnson; several nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Historic Epworth United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Todd Kelly will officiate. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Lindsey, Bo Childress, Daniel Cumming, Brent Johnson, Jeff Smith, Charles Penning, Brian and Andy Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be the Meet and Eat Group, Birthday Girls, Billy Knight, Herman Caldwell, Jr., David Underwood and Steve Bass. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice or Epworth United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
