Theodore Pennington

PENNINGTON, Mr. Theodore "Ted" Douglas, age 76 of Brentwood, TN passed away August 28, 2013. Born and raised in Madison, New Jersey, he was the son of Clarence and Lillian Pennington. After graduating from Madison High School, he went on to graduate from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania with a degree in mechanical engineering. This was followed by four years in the United States Navy as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corp. Upon his release from the Navy he earned a MBA degree in industrial management from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance. Followed by a MBA in business and accounting from the University of Hartford School of Business. He worked for Monsanto Digital Equipment and Cryomedical Science in his career in management. As an antique car enthusiast, he was a collector and active member of the Willys Knight Registry, an international antique car club where he was a member for over 45 years. He also was an active member of East Brentwood Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Ruth of 49 years; daughter, Lisa (Mario III) Barone of Katy, TX; son, Douglas of Atlanta, GA and grandchildren, Mario Barone IV and Kaitlyn Barone. Funeral Services will be held at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 10:00AM, Monday, September 2. Visitation will be from 9-10AM prior to service on Monday.
