Theresa Bales

Mrs. Theresa Mary Bales, age 93 of Nashville, TN died June 22, 2015 at her home. Born in Detroit, MI to the late Anthony and Cecilia Nowak. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Woodrow Bales and eldest daughter, Alberta Coulehan. Longtime resident of Tennessee, moved to a farm she loved in Clarksville, TN when her husband retired after 20 years of service as a Navy veteran. Previously resided in Rhode Island, Texas and Maryland. She and her husband moved to Nashville in 1999 to be closer to her children. Throughout her life, she loved to cook, garden and manage the household finances while also reading extensively to stay informed on national news and economic events. Survived by her children, Joyce (Owen) Rogers, Franklin, TN, James (Diana) Bales, Brentwood, TN and Susan Rabi, Dallas, TX; grandchild, Samantha; great grandchild, Isaac both of Brentwood, TN and brother, Frank Nowak, Bay City, MI. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens.
