Thomas Langley

December 26, 1936 — April 3, 2016

Thomas "Buck" Myron Langley, age 79, passed away peacefully at his residence in Columbia, TN, April 3, 2016. Born in Spring Hill, TN, he graduated from Spring Hill High School where he played basketball and football, serving as football captain in his senior year. He was long time resident of the Columbia-Spring Hill area. He was retired from Monsanto Chemical Company after 32 years. Buck was a 32nd degree Mason (member of the Masonic Lodge #31 and the York Rite Bodies of Columbia) and member of the Scottish Rite and a member of Al Menah Shrine. Buck attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years, and most recently attended Viola Baptist Church.

He lived a determined and purposeful life, and was no stranger to hard work. He relied on pure grace and had the strength to move mountains...and often did. Buck fought hard for the things he believed in, and was not easily swayed.

He is preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Lela Langley; and one brother, A. E. "Pete" Langley. He is survived by his four children, Kent (Leanna) Langley, Robin (Breanna) Langley, Cindy Langley, and Lorie (Dominik) Langley; six grandchildren, Zackary and Mackenzi Langley, Alex, Abby, and Adrianna Langley, and Chelsia Daugherty; and two great grandchildren, Braylen and Bentley Daugherty; four sisters, Thelma Jean Byrd, Mary Wallick, Nellie Stephens, and Wanda Watts; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Katie.

Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4-8pm at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, TN, with Masonic service to be conducted at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 2pm, Mylen Coble and Zack Langley officiating, with visitation also one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, Zack Langley and Alex Langley, and also his nephews. Flowers accepted, or memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
