Thomas McKay

Thomas Guildord McKay, age 80 of Franklin,TN passed away on September 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Williamson County, TN to the late R.S. and Novie Morris McKay. Graduate of Franklin High School in 1955. He married Gloria Faye McKay on July 25, 1978. Guildford was a widely respected dairy farmer in Williamson County for over 40 years. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Leonard McKay, Eleanor Rice, Mildred Hughes and Porter McKay. Survived by: wife, Faye McKay; step sons, Eric Rains and Tim (Lori) Rains; sister in laws, Katherine McKay and Virginia McKay and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Berry's Chapel Church of Christ, 1777 South Berry's Chapel Road, Franklin, TN 37069, Gary Shrader officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Joe Shearer, Mac Hughes, Forrest Reynolds, Mike Hayes, Dwayne Dyal and Ken Young. Honorary pallbearers will be all of those who worked with Guilford on the farm. The Guilford McKay family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Brookdale Franklin with a special thanks to Lala and Mike and also Jena with Kindred Hospice.
