Velmer Luckett

September 3, 1925 — March 25, 2019

Velmer "Eugene" Luckett, age 93 of Franklin, TN passed away March 25, 2019. Born in Maury County, TN to the late James "Jack" and Rosa Sullivan Luckett. He was a lifelong resident of Williamson County. Although he never married, his main goal in life was to take care of his mother and other family members. Eugene was a member of Parkway Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his brother, Edison Luckett; sisters, Lettie Mae Warf, Odell Garrett, Marie Keys and Elizabeth Bandy. Survived by brother, Loyd (Pam) Luckett of Franklin, TN; sisters; Alma Calvert of Pasadena, MD, Ramona McRee of Franklin, TN & Juanelle Eden of Franklin, TN and many loving nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, March 28, 2019 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Tandy Rainey and Anthony Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Randall Warf, Dyron Warf, Jimmy Luckett, Dale Cather, Dax Huskey, J.R. King, Scott Tomlin, Stan Eden and Mike Eden. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cathey, Owen Hays, Dave Lawson, Mark Calvert, Lawrence Calvert, and members of Parkway Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kenneth Dodge, Dr. Powers, and the staff at Claiborne Hughes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as the staff at Avalon Hospice for their care.
