Walter Ashworth

Walter Dale Ashworth, age 53, of Columbia, TN passed away April 18, 2018. He loved going fishing and helping people, no matter who they were. Preceded in death by father, Hollis Ashworth and brother, Kenny Ray Ashworth. Survived by wife of 11 years, Tammy Ashworth; daughters, Amanda Ashworth, Diane (Cory) Pugh and Jamie Hartley; grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Madison and Austin Long, Derek and Deven Davis and Jacob and Tara Cox; mother, Shirley Anne Smithson; step mom, Mamie Ashworth; brother, Roy "Tadpole" (Paula) Ashworth; sister, Pamela Henson; step-sisters, Patricia Beard and Sheila Elemer; and pets, Peanut, Lucy, Ariel and Sweet Pea. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jasper Hatcher officiating. Visitation will be 3-8PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Smithson Cemetery. Pallbearers Roy "Tadpole" Ashworth, Tommy Harper, David James, David Deason, Nathan Tomlin, Joe Bennett and R.J. Lynch.
