Walter Phillips (Buddy) Lott, age 94 of Franklin, TN passed away on July 17, 2018. He was born September 11, 1923 to Ruth Elia Moore Lott and Walter Matthew Lott in Waycross, GA. He was one of five siblings. He is proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Ruthelia Lott Buchi, Lorene Bean, Robert Bailey Lott and Harriet Lott Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Betty Jean Harris Lott; Children; Betty Ruthanna Straton (Eric), Cynthia Marie Lott Morris (Randy). In addition, he is survived by 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Buddy graduated from East High School where he played Saxophone in a jazz band with his brother Bob, and was also a member of the "All City" band. He attended Vanderbilt University for a time. He served in WWII for three years in the Signal Core, 4th armored division, General Patton's 3rd Army. After the war He worked at Eastern Airlines, Tennis Unlimited, and the LifeWay Christian. Bud and Betty where members of Valley View Baptist Church for many years, and then moved to Franklin where he and Betty where members of Forest Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will be located at Forest Hills Baptist Church from four until eight in the evening on Thursday, July 19, 2018 and at one oclock in the afternoon on Friday, July 20, 2018. Celebration of Life Services will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Forest Hills Baptist Church Located at 2101 Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, TN 37215 interment with the Military Honors to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
