Wilbur Otis Douglas age 91, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on September 1, 2020 in Franklin, Tennessee.
Otis was born in Lexington, Tennessee to Pickney Otis and Armenda Petty Douglas on September 5,1928. He went to school in the Lexington City Schools and went on to graduate from Union University in their business program. He married Eleanor Wallace on November 25,1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked as a Commodity salesman and office management for Norfolk Southern for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy as a stenographer for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. He was always involved with his church family locally and enjoyed singing in the choir. He and his wife loved camping and cruise ships.
Mr. Douglas is preceded in death by his beloved wife. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins across the US.
A private family graveside service was held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Lexington City Cemetery with Samuel McAdams officiating.
