Mr. William "Bill" Carter Baggett, Sr. age 89 of Franklin, TN passed away June 16, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Enterprise, AL to the late William Arthur & Gladys Carter Baggett. He was a decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany with the U.S occupation forces following WW2. He earned a bachelors degree in advertising design at Auburn University. He moved with his family to Nashville, TN in 1950 where he remained in the printing industry during his professional career. He enjoyed the artistic pursuits of painting, photography, and woodworking throughout his lifetime. Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Faye Vanderford Baggett of Franklin, TN; son, William C. Jr. (Lynne) Baggett of Poplarville, MS; daughters, Leigh (Clint) Butler of Lynchburg, TN and Dru Mandelbaum of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer (James) Barna of Cazenovia, NY; William C. III (Barbara) Baggett of Asheville, NC; Alexis (Ken) Molay of San Angelo, TX; Amanda Taran of Nolensville, TN; R. Zane Martin of Franklin, TN; Alison Mace of Charlotte, NC; Danielle (Chris) Blalock of Gastonia, NC; Stuart (Missy) Mace os Charlotte, NC; and Lars Lundeng of Fauske, Norway; great-grandchildren, Helen, Nicholas, Stella, Simon, Ryder, Kylan, Jakob, Carter, Laila, and Nora. Preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mark Mandelbaum. A private family service has been held. Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital at Williamson Medical Center.
