William Hardwick

January 17, 1945 — January 19, 2016

William H. Hardwick, born January 17th, 1945, passed away January 19th of 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1962 and then went on to receive a degree from Memphis State University. Upon graduation he worked for the Veterans Administration and retired, after 36 years, as Chief of Human Resources. William loved spending time with his family and participating in his grandson's football activities as a coach for the Franklin Cowboys and then as support when he got into middle and high school football. He was a very loyal, caring, and loving man who will be deeply missed by so many.
His parents Elwyn Hardwick and Martina McCarthy Hardwick preceded him in death. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynn Bradley Hardwick, and children Jennifer (Richard) Duffy, Jessica L. Means, William H. Hardwick Jr. (Lauren Kolentus). Also his grandchildren, Sharon Kaitlynn Means, Kyle Hogan Means, Cassandra Morgan Duffy, and Dorothy Louise Hardwick. He leaves behind his sister Patsy (Ed) Boywid of Pensacola, Florida and a brother Edward (Margaret) Hardwick of Memphis, Tennessee.
The visitation will be held January 21st, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church 9100 Crockett Road, Brentwood, TN 37027, from 4-6p.m.. The Funeral will also be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, January 22nd at 11a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens.
