William Douglas "Doug " Heath, age 90 of Franklin,TN passed away Wednesday Dec 27, 2017 at his residence. Born in Davidson County. He was an Electrician and a WWII Veteran of the U.S Coast Guard serving on the USS Pride DE323, a charter member of Haywood Hills and Thompson Station Baptist Churches. Member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 429, and John B. Garrett Masonic Lodge #711.
Preceded in death by his Parents, John Franklin and Alice Harrell Heath, daughter, Lisa Yvonne Heath, brothers, Frank Heath Jr., George Heath and Lucien Heath. Sisters, Nancy Heath and Evelyn Heath. Survived by wife, Dorothy "Dot" Heath of Franklin, Daughters, Sherra Gurley of Spring Hill, Amy ( Hartford) Fowlkes of Franklin, Beth (Brian) Holden of Spring Hill. Grandchildren, Diana (Kris) Wence, Alisa Gray, Amber Turner, Jimmy ( Jessica) Wilson. Seven Great-Grandchildren, Beloved Sister in law, Inez Nelson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Dec 30, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Visitation on Friday from 4-8PM and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Jim Taylor will officiate the Service and family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Graceworks.
