William Lovett, Jr.

Mr. William Davis "Dave" Lovett, Jr., age 86 of Franklin, TN, November 28, 2014. Loving husband, father and grandfather. An avid hunter, fisherman and wood worker. He was instrumental in youth development in Williamson County. He owned and operated Lovett Bus Service and provided transportation to the Franklin Special School District. Preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Jefferson Lovett; son, Bobby Lovett; great-grandchild, Tyler Batey; brothers, Gene & Wayne Lovett; parents, Davis & Eula Mae Robinson Lovett. Survived by wife, Mary E. Hood Lovett; son, Billy (Sherry) Lovett; daughters, Vera (John) Reed & Lynn (John) Croft; daughter in-law, Terri Warner Lovett; step-son, Mickey (Valinda) Hood; step-daughter, Christy (Sandy) Brotzman; grandchildren, Jeff (Rachel) Lovett, Jessica (Troy) Batey, Charles (Courtni) Reed, Chris, Andrew Graysie Croft, Thomas, Joseph & Sarah Lovett, Austin & MegAnn Brotzman and Cory Hood; great-grandchildren, Taylor Batey, Sam Lovett & Odessa Reed. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and Hank Jefferson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Former employees of Harpeth Motor Company. Memorials may be made to the Independence High School Marching Band or the charity of your choice.
