William Noland

William Ray (Billy) Noland of Franklin, TN left this world March 27, 2016. Billy, long time dairy farmer, and his wife of fifty-seven years, Barbara Pratt Noland established and operated Four Bees Farm in Williamson County. In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by his daughters, Beverly (Mike) Ozburn and Brenda (Dwayne) Hart; grandchildren, Bridgette (Corey) Smith; Bryan (Jessica) Barnes; Megan (Adam) Fullerton; Rebecca (Nathan) Taylor; Madalyn Hart; Stephen (Bonnie) Ozburn; and Laura Ozburn; great-grandchildren, Lillie, Lydia, and Luci Smith; Harris Barnes; Levi and Easton Ozburn; Cassie and Evie Ozburn. Billy retired from the Williamson County Farmer's Co-op in 2004 after ten years of service. When farming, he served as the secretary of the Williamson County Farmer's Co-op Board and was a Trustee of the Williamson Farmer's Co-op Retirement Board. Billy was a member and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Williamson County Soil Conservation Board for thirty-three years. He served as President of the Tennessee Holstein Association, Voting Delegate for the National Holstein Association Convention, earned the Progressive Breeder's Registry Award from the Holstein Friesian Association of America, and was President of the Tennessee Dairy Herd Improvement Association. Billy was a board member of Dairymen, Inc. and was selected as Outstanding Young Dairyman in 1973. He was twice awarded Outstanding Young Farmer by the Williamson County Jaycees, served as a Tennessee Farm Bureau Director, a member of the Tennessee Artificial Breeder's Board, and Representative on the Sire Committee of Southeast Select Sires. Billy was honored and enjoyed judging multiple dairy cattle shows throughout the years. A lifetime member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Billy served as Sunday School Superintendent. Also survived by sisters, Carolyn (Cecil) Lynch; Sharon (Harold) Maxwell; Genice (Billy) Johnson, and sister-in-law, Carol Noland. Billy is preceded in death by parents, Jackson Yancey (J.Y.) and Thelma Chance Noland and brother, Lealand Noland. Visitation will be 2-8PM Tuesday, March 29th and one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Donna Parramore officiating and Bob Strasser also to speak. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mike Ozburn, Dwayne Hart, Bryan Barnes, Dennis Bush, Adam Fullerton, Stephen Ozburn, Corey Smith, Nathan Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Cary Reynolds; Paul, Jim, and Ned Vaden; Billy Knight; Jack Pratt, Sr.; Herman Caldwell; Milton Beard; Richard and Brian Jefferson; Larry Dale; Jimmy Sullivan; Bob Strasser; John Neal Scarlett; Guy Patrick; DeWayne Perry; and Hugh Sanders.
