William Floyd Reed, age 90 of the Bethesda Community passed away April 15, 2019. Lifelong resident of Williamson County where he farmed for many years. He retired from Ellington Agriculture Center after 25+ years of service. He was a number one fan of his sons playing music in the Reed Brothers Band. He competed and attended mule shows where he won the Kentucky State Fair and the Tennessee State Fair in the two mule hitch class. He enjoyed trail riding with his mules and wagon. William looked forward weekly to his pedro card game with his friends. While not farming, he loved watching the Atlanta Braves and seeing his grandchildren playing sports. Preceded in death by son, Johnny Reed; parents, Floyd Lafayette and Nora Allen Williams Reed; brothers, J.N., Allen and Clyde Reed and great grandchild, Justin Allen Reed. Survived by: sons, Frank Reed, Jeff Reed, Paul (Debbie) Reed and Raymond Reed; daughter, Gertrude (Jimmy) Adcock; daughter in law, Melody Reed; brother, Terry Reed; sister, Nancy Bruce; sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; married 43 1/2 years and mother of his children, Beulah Veach Reed and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bobby Bennett officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ricky, Bobby, Lane, Jody, Jeremy and Bill Reed and Jake Marlin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bethesda Senior Citizens. Visitation will be 5-8PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
