Mr. Willie Phillip Poteete, age 70 of the Bethesda Community passed away May 19, 2016. Preceded in death by father, T. Tom Poteete; son, Terry Poteete; brother, Thomas Poteete. Survived by wife of 40 years, Diane Poteete; mother, Ruth Poteete; daughter, Melissa Johnson; brother, Emory (Teresa) Poteete; sisters, Dot Shiver, Bertha (Jessie) Crawford and Faye (Alvis) Stafford; grandchildren, Terry Lee Poteete, Holly Poteete and Curtis Beard; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Bobby Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett Hollow Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Randy Giles, Mark Wilson, Dale Green, Auston Esque, Mike Wilson, Bubba Poteete & J.P. Krantz. Honorary pallbearers: Leon Johnson, Willie Crafton, Mike Sledge, Judy Briles, Peggy Green, Donna Dukes and Barbara Grimes.
