Willodean Clifton

Willodean Thompson Clifton, age 83, of Thompsons Station, TN passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Athens, AL on June 25, 1932, daughter of the late Andy Erskin and Lucy Walker Thompson. Mrs. Clifton was a homemaker and a devoted farmer's wife. She was an excellent cook and baker and she enjoyed gardening and canning. She was witty and enjoyed hosting and entertaining family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, C.E. Clifton, who passed away on August 26, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Thompson and brother, Bryant Thompson. Mrs. Clifton is survived by her children, Jean Kincaid of Salisbury, NC, Brenda Gallant of Meridianville, AL, Connie & Keith Cade of Lutz, FL, Corey & Angela Clifton of Thompsons Station, TN; grandchildren, Brooke & John Fanning of Elora, TN, Bethany Gallant of Nashville, TN, Blair & Hugh Glidewell of Locust Grove, GA, Chelsey & Jake Wallace of Dover, TN, Lexi Reed and Blake Clifton both of Thompsons Station, TN; great grandson, Jacob Wallace; sisters, Nora Edwards Fasig of Hartsville, TN and Barbara Hagood of Hartselle, AL; brother, W.J. & Jo Thompson of Hartselle, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Denton officiating and under the direction of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
